Happy Draft Day!

YAY!!! The draft is here, and this year, it's in PRIMETIME! I am very excited to see what happens because there is lots of speculation as to lots of scenarios. Now that the Steelers are shopping around Roethlisberger, it could be a very crazy night.

I wanted to put a couple pictures of the draft, but when you google "NFL draft day pictures" this is first picture to come up. Oy vay!

On a lighter note, here is a picture of the best hair in sports, and the scariest face in sports.

Nobody but nobody messes with the hair of Mel Kiper Jr.!

Actually, I have to admit, I am wrong. I was swept up in Mel Kiper-draft day hoopla (also known as Moopla).
The best hair in sports is Barry Melrose, becuase no one can resist the Mullet.
However, Kiper is #2. And who does #2 work for?

I love the NFL, and am always interested to see what each team does in the offseason...but the draft is among the most overhyped, anticlimactic sports television programs of the year. Just wait until Bradford goes #1. Then the talking heads will have to spend 15 minutes discussing whether they like McCoy or Suh...and then after the Lions pick one of the two, talk for another 15 minutes about the guy still on the board. Of course, all of this comes at the end of a week full of long discussions about Bradford, McCoy, and Suh. Seriously, it's enough already.

How in the world has Mel Kiper's hair stayed like that for what seems like 20 years??? I guess it's hair survival of the strongest...

Tim Couch... he at least made a lot of money!

I love the NFL Draft because it's the one and only day of the NFL season that matches baseball's Hot Stove League. Offseasons in all other sports suck except for NFL/NBA draft day.

Kiper's hair is unbelievable but I have to agree with Laz...Melrose's mullet is amazing.

I'm praying that the Steelers trade Big Ben to the Giants for Eli Manning straight up. Nothing would make me happier than to have a good QB in New York for a change. Let Eli and his perfect little reputation play in the high-wind environment at Heinz Field and then we'll see how much people like him. I know, I know, it'll never happen but I'd be thrilled if the Giants offloaded a half-retarded loser for a stud franchise QB.

I can't believe anyone would besmirch the hair of Mel Kiper! Melrose's mullet comes and goes but Kiper's hair is as constant as the Northern star , of whose true fixed and resting quality there is no fellow in the firmament!
