That was great for three reasons:1) It was simply a great play on its own merits;2) Kevin Garnett has morphed into one of the five most disgusting human beings currently collecting an NBA paycheck*; and3) It shows you the inner workings of the mind of a bully. If Garnett had blocked Ginobili that forcefully, you can be sure it would've been followed by throat-slashing gestures, preening, yelling, cursing and other attempts at intimidation and drawing attention to himself. Instead, Garnett got blocked, slowly got up and then walked away with his head hanging down in shame. Notice that Ginobili simply moved on without trying to get himself on SportsCenter.*In addition to Garnett, the other four players in the NBA that absolutely deserve to be shot in the stomach and made to suffer are Elton Brand, Stephen Jackson, Kenyon Martin and, of course, Shaquille O'Neal.
I hate both of them so much that I was rooting for the for the moment they touched, the world couldn't handle what giant douches they are, so they would both be whisked out of existence. Kind of like timecop, except instead of the same person touching themselves in the future, it is two flaming jackholes touching each other. Well, maybe they need to touch a third doucheface in order to create such an anomoly; good thing tayshaun prince wasn't there.
@Laz: I've heard some folks complain about Manu so I'm not surprised. But Tayshaun? I've never heard anyone complain about him before. Just curious, what did Tayshaun do to get you to hate him?Not saying you're wrong, just surprised.
He's so lankey, it scares me. He looks like a scarecrow. Plus, he went to kentucky, which makes it presumed that he's a douchebag. I want to hurt him.
@Laz: HAHAHAHAHAHA, that is awesome. That's actually part of why I hated Reggie Miller. I couldn't understand how a two-dimensional stick figure could come to life and play basketball for a living.
why is elton brand on MJ's list of people to be shot?
Gutsy, I included him because he's the type of athlete I hate: a team-ruiner. He doesn't work hard all the time, he nurses injuries, he signs big contracts and then takes seasons off and, worst of all, he led a team (the Clippers) into thinking he'd sign with them, maneuvered them into signing another player he wanted to play with (Baron Davis) and then bolted for less money (with the Sixers). He's scum. I could've also added Carlos Boozer for what he did back in 2004 or 2005 to the Cavs but Brand's crime was more recent.
I feel like everything you said about Brand was from when he left the clippers ("screwing them over", signing for big money, then getting injured). I don't hate him that bad. I think he's actually damaged physically (so he's ineffective in many games). Getting them to sign Baron was cruel though.
