U of I and UNC are now in the finals. This matchup will give central Illinoisan hicks and tobaccky-road North Carolinian rednecks somethin' to go a-hootin' an a-hollerin' about. I miss East Coast Bias. Wherefore art thou UConn and 'Cuse?
But seriously folks....
It should be a great game. I'm glad that Roy Williams is in the finals with a chance to win. I'm rooting for UNC because of Roy; I think he deserves to finally get that trophy.

Come on now, this year's rednecks vs. hicks is so much better than some previous championship games. I mean, in 1979 you had michigan state vs. indiana state. Thats also the hicks, but they had to play against the militia men. And 1983, NC state (the rednecks) got to play against the death penalty happy cowboy team of houston. The in 1961 and 1962 you had OSU and cincy going at it, two ohio teams, let the punchlines start flying. And who could forget 1959, where you had the crazy hippie squad of Cal against the coal mining team of WVU.
I think considering the past, the ethnic stereotype matchup of this year looks pretty formidable.
