When Tony & Mike Are Away, PTI Shouldn't Play

I’ll keep this brief since it’s July 4th and there’s a Yankee game about to start…

On days when Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon aren’t available to work the set of “Pardon the Interruption” ESPN should simply schedule another program or offer an ESPNNews simulcast. There’s just no reason why Dan LeBatard and Jason Whitlock should ever be seen or heard from on live television. Whereas Whitlock is a bag of hot air, LeBatard is just dull.

For those of you that didn’t watch today’s installment of PTI (lite), suffice it to say that Whitlock mentioned the fact that he played college football not once, not twice, but three times in 15 minutes. As if we’re tuning in to hear about the collegiate exploits of an obese and barely literate individual?

Memo to ESPN: when Tony and Mike are away, give PTI a rest. It’s better for us and it’s better for you too.
