Rally Round the Reds

Since we are in discussion regarding the Reds, I just wanted to bring up the fact that the oldest team in baseball is now under new ownership. The old man and owner of the United Dairy Farmers chain (sounds like a Leninist regime) has sold the Reds to a group of people who have been around since the Big Red Machine. The main owner is Robert Castilleni who has vowed to make the Reds a viable team in the future. Castilleni has been in discussion with Lou Piniella (the last guy to bring the Championship home to Riverfront) to help out with some aspects of the team. Castilleni has overhauled the front office by getting rid of the GM and putting in place new people in charge of scouting and the minor leagues. I am hoping that with new management, the Reds will come back to their glory days of the early 90s. Maybe Lou Piniella will come back and try to create the Nasty Boys out of Ryan Wagner, Danny Graves and David Weathers. I look forward to watching them fail miserably this year. At least, unlike Cubs fans, I know that my team will suck from the start of the season. Here is the article on the new management
