Monday Thoughts...

I understand the Back Seat Drivers blog will be quiet today. Currently, I am preparing a list of things Mighty must apologize for including: The hole on the ozone layer, global warming, the malaise infecting all Cleveland sports, and NFL regional coverage. After he completes his tasks, I have several more.

My wish is for all to be inscribed into the book of life. Best Wishes. Onto my post.

Michigan at Ohio State: On Saturday night, The Wolverines and Buckeyes pulled closer to their November 18th clash. I AM PULLING FOR 11-0 MICHIGAN AT 11-0 OHIO STATE. This is the way the Big 10 should be decided... between the two undefeated heavy weights (ND is too lame to join the Big 10, instead they need to play each service academy). If both teams to continue to win, Mighty's tickets become even more valuable and he will be able to purchase a small dot.com start up hopefully involving Papa Johns or pornography.

Michigan has more work to do. They must defeat the silly Spartans who still have not recovered and lost to Illinois last week!! Knowing MSU, they will regroup and hit Plaxico Burress with 8 TD passes. Don't forget, the Maze and Blue must goto Happy Valley and beat Penn State. Revenge NOTE: Michigan spoiled Penn State's perfect season last year.

Jim Tressel already has 4 wins versus Michigan.

I miss the days of John Cooper. Instead, the sweater vest has managed to own Lloyd Carr. In the off-season following last year's 7-5 misery, Carr replaced both coordinators and it looks like the Maze and Blue will give OSU a run for their money this year.

Through the 2005 season, Michigan leads the overall series 57-39-6, and the conference series 45-39-4. The schools will play their 90th consecutive year in 2007.

NFL: Cobra Commander defeated the Bolts in my manwich matchup of the week. McNair is learning the offense and is the QB that has the game/post season experience that can augment the defense. Meanwhile, the Ravens D held the bolts scoreless for the entire 2nd half. Looking ahead, Cobra Commander takes to the road Monday night next week at Denver. This will be interesting.

The Bears kicked some series Seattle Latte loving butt back across the country. Please, let us keep the Bears in proper context. They are 4-0 in a soft division and play a soft schedule.

The defense is impressive but the offense (like last year) is unproven. The best games to determine the quality of the bears are at the G-Men, at NE, and at STL. I am not convinced beating MVP-less Seattle at home and the sex boat squad are quality enough wins to start the celebration. Ohh yeah, and the D had to bail out Grossman at Minnesota after he threw a pick. The question for the Bears (like last year) = will the QB position help or hinder a serious defense?

ohh, and New England teabagged Cincy.
Meanwhile, I have weekend lag.
