The Game

We have reached the week of the game. During this week the gloves are off Ludwig, I’m playing hardball. Its 4th and 15 and you’re looking at a full-court press. This game is so important that in 2003 Congress passed a resolution recognizing it as the greatest rivalry in sports history*** Note: Congressmen do not attend the World Cup. I’ll take it as the greatest rivalry in college football.

By the Numbers:
We will concentrate on the last 2 eras of this great rivalry… since Lloyd Carr has coached for the past 12 seasons, the eras will correspond to OSU coaches: John Cooper and Jim Tressel aka the sweater vest.

The John Cooper Era:
1988-2000: Overall Record = 111-43-4
Record vs. Michigan = 2-10-1

The Jim Tressel Era:
2001- Present: Overall Record = 61-13
Record vs. Michigan = 4-1

Clearly the sweater vest has owned Lloyd Carr over the past five years resulting in an increase of taunting phone calls and emails from Mighty. This must stop. The last Michigan victory vs. OSU was in 2003. I demand VICTORY! To aid in this quest, I have enlisted the help of Mighty’s Mortal Enemies (Ham will post later this week): clowns and beards. He is terrified of both. GO BLUE.
