5766: The Year in Review

It's only Day Three of the new Jewish year of 5766, and yet there's been so much going on. Let's recap:

Good: Ate two delicious dinners with my parents and various friends, celebrating Rosh Hashana.

Not So Good: White Sox demolish Boston in Game 1. In response, said aforementioned delicious dinners exit my body back the way they came.

Good: Bulls make the best out of a bad situation by acquiring a decent amount of talent, including a first-round draft pick, for Eddy Curry.

Not So Good: Cardinals and Astros both win their first playoff games. Cub fans just can't catch a break.

Good: Bears enter the new year in first place in the NFC North with a stellar 1-2 record.

Not So Good: NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue orders Bears to play remaining 13 games on schedule.

Good: Red Sox take early 4-0 lead tonight, threatening to even up the series.

Not So Good: Tony Graffanino happens. ChiSox get 5 in the 5th, win 5-4. I lose another dinner the hard way.

This is going to be a rough year...
