Let us observe a moment of silence for The Tribe and for Mighty Mike. Mighty Mike is a loyal fan who deserves better for the tribe to choke, the state of Ohio to ban gay marriage, and for OSU to suck (in general).

On that note... the dirty sox made the playoffs and will now proceed to go down faster than a sorority girl on a Friday night.

The mighty red birds have all the tools for a World Series championship. They need to execute, or be executed. Pitching: Carpenter (21-5), Mulder (16-8), Morris (14-10). Yet, Suppan (16-10) was the best down the stretch. Hitting? Albert (.330, 41 HR, 117 RBI), Edmonds, Walker is back, and so is Sanders. The only major issue is how to fill Rolen's shoes.
