Cheers and Jeers: Mind Eraser Edition

I don't know about everyone but its been one of those draining weeks were at the end all you want to do is forget anything you've learned and all you want is to see TO declare bankrupcy. Luckily there is alcohol, "the cause of and solution to all of life's problems". Today's drink of choice Mind Erasers. (1 part vodka, 1 part Kahlua and 2 parts tonic)

Cheers: To the start of the NBA season. Already some themes are becoming clear. Andruw Bogut isn't that bad. Shaq's body has reached the end of the career stage for centers (where it breaks down every other week). If I believed what the media has said we should instantly believe that Kobe is now a person full of love and affection for his fellow man. Umm yeah. The Sacramento Kings are awful.

Cheers- To the return of the Hot Stove . Already the Padres have traded pitching for hitting (Lawrence for Castilla). The Indians picked up Ronnie Belliard's option (a move I like. Belliard has been solid both offensively and defensively for the Tribe). Red Sox and Dodgers are taking on water like the Titantic. One can only hope they end the same way (with Leonardo de Caprio dying).

Jeers - Tom Benson, owner of the Saints. Yes I think he has the legal right to move his team wherever he wants. And no, he's no different than most other CEOs that would relocate to increase profitability. But he's a jerk. An uncaring jerk. A loudmouth uncaring jerk. A TO if you will.

Cheers- To big conference games. V-Tech v. Miami and Wisconsin v. Penn State. Both games will go along to settling who wins their respective conferences. I got V-Tech and Penn State winning (Miami's offense isn't up to par and Wisconsin can't handle running qbs).

Cheers- Bill Simmon's NBA preview. I don't agree with a lot of what he writes but he really is the best writer ESPN employs. In fact he's one of the more enjoyable sports writers around. I still have Norman Chad in front though.
