Cheers and Jeers: TKO Version

TO, your finished for the year. Its over. Media. He's done for the year. Let it go. NFLPA. He's done. Fold the hand. Ring the bell. Let the fat lady sing. Whatever. As such to celebrate (or drown out the continued discussions of the topic) I offer you the TKO...which should end all outside noises or make you blind, I forget which.

TKO
Quote of the Week:"It was reported this week that when he was in college, Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito supported gay rights. Apparently, his exact words were, `Let's get Jenn and Stacy drunk and see if they make out.'"
---Conan O'Brien

Jeers:
To the SEC. I went on a limb defending them but after closer scrutiny they are 2-5 in major non-conference games which was driven home with Notre Dame's back hand slap of Tennessee. The SEC used to be the toughest conference. I would rank them near the bottom now. We'll see come bowling season but I don't expect much for this bunch.

Cheers: To Eric Wedge coming in a close second in the voting for the AL manager of the year. The Indians had a 12 game improvement and besides the last week collapse had an outstanding season. If it wasn't for the Chi-Sox being the best team this year the Tribe would've been in the playoffs and a good portion of that credit goes to Eric.

Jeers: To the LA Clippers starting out the season doing well. I'm sorry if your team has no fans you don't deserve to win, ever. Has anyone, ever, met a Clippers fan (note this does not include Lakers fans that are disillusioned and/or so stoned that they accidently watch the Clippers assuming that its the Lakers playing.

Cheers: To Sarunas Jasikevicius or as I like to call him Moishe. In his first year in the NBA, the Lithuanian native, hit the winning shot to put the Pacers ahead of the Titantic err Miami Heat. I think Moishe has a good shot at winning rookie of the year and may be one of those missing parts that sends Pacers to the finals. I call him Moishe because A) nobody can pronounce his name and B) Last year he was on Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv and helped the Israeli team win the European Championships.

Jeers: To Northwestern. Lord I hate that school. They're purple. And arrogant . I also understand that they think your a dork.

Cheers: Chris Caprenter winning the Cy Young. The writers this year have gone with the safe choice every time. Picking anyone but Carpenter would be a deviation from that pattern and unfair. Specifically to me, who just likes Cubs fans suffering.

Shameless Testimonial:
Excessive exposure to Cheers and Jeers can lead to premarital sex.
