More non-sports related stuff

Just as a follow up to Mike's article on Bob Costas. It looks like the St. Louis native is back at it again.

The great sports commentator and person who we attribute to the Olympics decided not to be a part of a CNN show on the BTK killer's sentencing. I guess he didn't want to question the merits of why he was given 10 life sentences instead of 5 life sentences. I think Bob Costas exemplifies truly great journalism and wish that other blowhards out there (Bill O'Reilly and the entire Fox News crew) would follow his role of great journalism. Keep it up Bob. Maybe you should take the place of Larry King, after he quits so he can father 5 more kids at the age of 90.

Without getting off track too much but is there something inherintly awful about covering the BTK killer 24-7 when the BTK killer gets his jolly's off media exposure? Explain to me again why the media should reward this guy with more coverage?

No comment on BTK so as not to increase the duration of his exposure-orgasm.

Costas is, quite simply, the greatest living tele-journalist. He's the Willie Mays of his profession. His show on HBO is fantastic. His play-by-play and anchor work for NBC Sports is fantastic. His book about saving the game of baseball is fantastic. Costas is the man.

Yeah it is the same thing as telling people how crappy our defenses are and which nuclear reactors has Homer, Lenny and Karl as guards to them. Journalists are absolutely brilliant.
